Jesus really did do everything for us - including laying down His life for us.
Think about that tonight...either for the first time, or the 100th time...It's amazing either way.
[I know I recently posted another Sidewalk Prophets song, but this one also seemed to hit me tonight, and I wanted to share it! (No Audio for you this time, though!)]
--------------------------------------
All your pain
Will be made mine
All your troubles
The tears you cry
Give it up
All that binds
I will place it on my shoulders
And up this hill I’ll climbFather, give me strength
I know there is no other way
CHORUS
I lay down my life for you
This is the moment when all will be made new
I know that you don’t understand
But this is part of a greater plan
So I lay down my life for you
Vs. 2-This is love
That had to bleed
To bring you mercy
To set you free
You are mine
I am yours
And I will wear your burdens
Just like this crown of thorns
I will take your place
I know there is no other way
CHORUS
I lay down my life for you
This is the moment when all will be made new
I know that you don’t understand
But this is part of a greater plan
So I lay down my life for you
BRIDGE-
Give me all your pride
Give me all your fears
Give me all your secrets
Give me all your tears
Give me all you doubt
Give me all your shame
Watch them wash away
Watch them wash away
(repeat)
In Jesus’ name
CHORUS
I lay down my life for you
This is the moment when all will be made new
I know that you don’t understand
But this is part of a greater plan
So I lay down my life for you
Arms stretched out
Upon this tree
To show true love
To set you free

You Can Have Me
My prayer this week...
God, you can have me!!
May I love you enough to let go, and know that in following you,
I may be called to give up everything in this life, but in return, I gain everything eternal.
And yet, you bless me in this life too, more than I could ever deserve!
Thank you for your Love! To You be the Glory.
I Give You My Life!
-------------------------------------
"You can Have Me"
(by Sidewalk Prophets)
=
If I saw You on the street
And You said come and follow me
But I had to give up everything
All I once held dear and all of my dreams
Would I love You enough to let go
Or would my love run dry
When You asked for my life
CHORUS
When did love become unmoving?
When did love become unconsuming?
Forgetting what the world has told me
Father of love,
You can have me
You can have me
Vs. 2- If You’re all You claim to be
Then I’m not losing anything
So I will crawl upon my knees
Just to know the joy of suffering
I will love You enough to let go
Lord, I give you my life
I give you my life
CHORUS
I want to be where You are
I’m running into Your arms
And I will never look back
So Jesus, here is my heart
When did love become unmoving?
When did love become unconsuming?
Forgetting what the world has told me
Father of love,
You can have me
You can have me
