Part of Email to Parents

…I woke up this morning and thought, “yeah, this really is impossible…” And remembered how many times I thought that when I was in South Asia before, and was amazed that it actually got done. I’m encouraged by a lot and frustrated by a lot. Yesterday morning I woke up thinking about all the reasons why this wouldn’t work, and then said to myself, out-loud actually, that, “I need to find something EVERY DAY to really truly praise Him for.” And when I started thinking of things, I couldn’t stop.

I shared this morning at breakfast with the three other women who are here right now, that I think we have arrived in the Promised Land. I read from Deuteronomy in my devotions, “…For the Lord your God is brining you into a good land of flowing streams and pools of water, with fountains and springs….it is a land of wheat and barley…fig trees and pomegranates…” (we have pomegranates almost every night for dinner)…. “It is a land where IRON is as common as stone…” (our water is brown because of all the iron in it!!’ (Deut 8:7-10). I said, “I think we truly have arrived!” They all thought it was pretty funny!

Hi Elizabeth! I just returned home from Bible study and checked my email. I had our group pray for you and it's amazing how they prayed specifically for what you shared here! We are all upholding you in prayer as you take on this divine appointment-I am excited that God is working and encouraging you through his Word. Love the "iron" story :-)

Bertie is missing you!

I wake up around 3 am just about every night. As I am putting more wood in our fireplace, I am reminded to pray for you. Not sure what time that is for you?

Baby Rose is doing well. Grace has some very cute pics of her on FAcebook.

Love you bunches,

Aunt Nina

What have you done with this quarantine time?

I’ll be blunt. This question has kind of driven me nuts the past few weeks. To be honest, we have done what we have always done. Worked ...
