Yes, you’re gonna miss this. But what is coming is even better!!

Two songs came on the country radio station yesterday morning on the way to work.  (Yes, I like country music!).  They were played back to back.  Here are the choruses:

“History in the Making” (Darius Rucker):
This could be one of those memories
We wanna hold on to, cling to, the one we can't forget
Baby this could be our last first kiss, the door to forever
What if this was that moment, that chance worth takin'?
History in the makin'

“You’re gonna miss this” (Trace Adkins):
You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this

Naturally, my mind started thinking…

The one side said: “See, look at all you’re going to miss if you leave Orlando.  All these memories, all these good times.  You’re gonna miss so much, if you leave and go overseas.”

The other side said: “And guess what – whatever God has for you is even better than all of that!  You may not know if now, but get ready, cause He’s worth even more- your mind cannot even contain it!

Then, the combination: “What you have right now is indeed special, it is a gift.  Enjoy it, thrive in it, love it.  Soak it in, take it for all it’s worth.  Remember to be thankful.  Yes, you will miss it- and that’s okay.  You’ll also find deep joy in what is ahead.  So, be where you are now, and also watch out for what is next- because it is also God’s best for you, and just as full of its own excitement.”

Why am I surprised when following God always turns out to be the right and absolute thing!?
The details are not always clear, that’s for sure.
But, at least following Him is one big thing that I never have to wonder about!
Just have to remind myself to do it daily!!

What have you done with this quarantine time?

I’ll be blunt. This question has kind of driven me nuts the past few weeks. To be honest, we have done what we have always done. Worked ...
